Serving in the Community Since 1998
I began working in my community to support individuals with childhood trauma and families impacted by intimate partner violence. I learned to appreciate the strength of the human spirit and to see the good in others. Influenced by this experience, I graduated from Columbia University School of Social Work in 2004 and was licensed to practice clinical social work in 2007 (006421).
The influence of mindfulness practices in my personal life and the support of interpersonal neuroscience research, led me to become an EMDRIA Certified EMDR therapist and Approved Consultant, as well as completing a 200h Yoga Teacher training. The ability to resolve the impact of traumatic events and calm the total body through holistic practices like meditation and yoga, have changed my approach to clinical social work practice.
It is my pleasure to offer these therapeutic services, as well as supervision, consultation, and training to my community.
