"It is important to expect nothing, to take every experience, including the negative ones, as merely steps on the path, and to proceed."
Natacha Kerelejza, LCSW
Nothing will work unless you do.
Informed by science, Offered with experience.
It is possible to move through the discomfort and confusion of traumatic stress, as well as the life circumstances that lead to anxiety and depression. As a licensed clinical social worker, I offer EMDR, an evidence based practice for the treatment of trauma and traditional psychotherapy with a focus on the senses.
“Neuroscience research shows that the only way we can change the way we feel is by becoming aware of our inner experience and learning to befriend what is going inside ourselves.”
― Bessel A. van der Kolk, The Body Keeps the Score: Brain, Mind, and Body in the Healing of Trauma

Knowledge and Support
An evidence-based practice for trauma
EMDR (eye-movement desensitization reprocessing) psychotherapy is designed to resolve unprocessed traumatic memories in the brain. For many clients, EMDR therapy can be completed in fewer sessions than other psychotherapies.
